There's a lot that goes on when it comes to making mix and match packs, especially oils. APi, for instance, isn’t even a regular men's product (its a Limited Edition) so just logistics alone would make it difficult. That's not to mention the costs of products like SOB or Domination which is why they are in smaller bottles. Then there's the actual content in the bottles that needs to be considered. Unlike some other competitors who fill the bottles to the respected content level and that's it we fill them the XS way. Which is why when you get a 30ml bottle from many companies there is about an inch (sometimes more) of space between the top of the bottle and the fill line.

XS bottles are filled like so: 10ml is about 13ml, 15ml is closer to 18ml and 30ml has about 42ml in the bottle (I didn’t have the exact numbers so this is only from what I remember). The only bottles we are very careful about filling precisely to 6ml is Domination and SOB oils. We do not reveal all ingredients in our blends and so its important to get them right. Most oils are about seven-times stronger in content than their alcohol counterparts. I think what happens is that many people assume seven-times is just take whatever spray formula and make it that much stronger, but that's not accurate at all.

Each blend, converted into an oil, undergoes a comprehensive structure analysis to determine the effects are consistent, if not slower in diffusive properties than its sister product. Just adding 7 times of something like copulins to SOB, regardless in alcohol or oil, is enough to kill an entire army of Mauradering Emu’s! Those suckers are tough too. Just ask Australia who is still living under occupation after surrendering during the Great Emu War. Blends need to be tweaked and adjusted to ensure effectiveness while maintaining the integrity of the results. You can't just not add something because of its ungodly stench while expecting the results, be it one drop or one spray, to remain the same.

Of course, like any business, XS is profit driven, but not at the sacrifice of our relationships we have with our clients. We take great pride and go to excessive (XS) lengths to add personalization and surprise to your experience. Its hard to explain, but changing an established pack, while seemingly trivial exchanging Taboo, for Evolve, has a huge impact on labor hours. This all goes to XS even having a mix and match pack as we put in a lot of thought and effort on what we can and can't do.

With all the requests we get, we could never do it just one time or only for one client. Lets throw in a monkey wrench and say somebody wants to do a return down the road. Well since they ordered the ACE pack and are returning taboo instead we couldn’t likely refund ACE since they didn't actually return it.

Write it in our order notes for the client would be the most common solution, but now you are using man-hours to add order comments and then somebody has to go in and read those order comments if there were to be a question such as a return. There’s just a whole lot more to it than changing out a bottle.

I totally understand and appreciate your suggestion, however, No, its not always possible to just make up a mix pack on the fly whenever we are asked, which is often. My stock reply to Kate is to decline, which is what occurred. So I wanted you to have a better understanding of why as there are a lot of variables and factors that are most decidedly not on most clients mind and rightfully so. It is obviously important to you since you spent your valuable time to write it out and share it with us. I respect that and believe if you’re willing to share you are deserving more than a stock reply. I hope my peak inside a “little bit” of how we are committed to ensuring all of our XS clients experience is amazing with a touch of surprise is insightful. Its never as easy is it can appear for us to just say no, but there’s lots of puzzle pieces we play everyday.

Now onto the good news. At the suggestion of a community member we have been working on an oil sampler pack. All the factors are now in place and more information will be forthcoming as to exact details. Many others, like yourself, have been similarly requesting a mix and match oil pack. Again because you took the time to post your suggestion I wanted you to be the first to know we are currently working out a solution to better serve everyone without screwing up our behind the scenes mojo.

Thanks for sharing all that. When I asked about API it was after reading the great review about it. So I guess I was a little blinded by that. I like your customer service. I prefer you tell me no right now than you do a mistake just because you were acting nice to please. I actually learnt much more because your customer service told me no.

As always, I forward all feedback,suggestion, needs, wants, requests to Steve and while we can't get to everything right away. I assure you as this detailed message from Steve suggests we have these in a "we love and value" our clients box so we can pull it out and make it happen when the opportunity arrives.

I am hoping more clients get to read this thread,if not I will include it in my "stock" reply so they understand the behind the scenes workings of it all and better appreciate that, if it was something simple we would do it in an instant.
