i am really sorry to say this but...
yep

we ware down for 3+ hours
But dont worry!
Creepers :minecraft::minecraft::minecraft: did not attack our facility.
It just happen that our main data-center experienced a major Power distribution that led to this downtime.
As you know we already using a global distribution network to push the content from the closest server in your country/area directly to you...
but without our main datacenter this was not possible.
As of this moment we are looking in to some other solutions to make sure this wont happen again.
Thanks for your understanding and sorry for any frustration this downtime might have caused.

Update #2 – 4:50PM EST: Our Smart Servers services are rebooting progressively. Our second generation Cloud Servers services (based on Openstack) will be back online shortly.
Our technical team is actively working to fully restore all our services back to normal.
We will continue to communicate all updates.

Update #1 – 3:30PM EST: Our technical team has found the issue affecting the power distribution on iweb-NE data center. One of our UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) has encountered technical issues. To temporarily fix the issue, the charges on the UPS on iWeb-NE are currently on external bypass directly to Hydro-Quebec so there will be no redundancy while fixing the UPS issue.
Our technical team is actively working on this, we will continue to communicate all updates.
No ETA for now but we will keep you posted.

This whole blog post might translate to some as:
but still i am kind of impressed that they managed to bring the whole datacenter up and running after all in ~3 hours
