Effective immediately we have started the process of changing our shipping services from FedEx to a company more small business friendly. I’d like to first reassure everyone your items are still shipping at lightning speeds and will continue to while the new system is integrated.
USPS Priority Mail
We will proceed to offer USPS Priority Mail at the same affordable rate for both Domestic and International. Priority Mail for domestic averages 3 days at only $6. International shipments can take up to 30 days at only $20 to Canada with the rest of the world at $24. International tracking can be sketchy at times as packages are transferred from one country to the next (its the government, what else would you expect?).
Domestic clients will still get free Priority Mail for orders at $75 or more. Our International friends are now eligible for free International Priority Mail too. In Canada spend $200 and the rest of the world $240 and your USPS International Priority Mail is free also.
FedEx Priority Overnight - Domestic (US)
Our Domestic (US) FedEx Priority Overnight shipments are proceeding as normal, but we have been forced to raise our shipping rates while we explore other viable methods. Current shipping charges have increased to $24.97. These rates are still super-competitive and from our research some of the best in the industry. Your package will still be shipped Priority Overnight with expected morning delivery.
FedEx Priority International
International shipments with FedEx Priority have been discontinued effective immediately. We are beginning a transition to DHL International Express for all of our international friends in need of speedy delivery and reliable tracking.
There are a couple of caveats though we are still working out that you need to be aware of. The first of those are the rates, which have increased for some and decreased for others. You will find below our new shipping zones and rates.
Perhaps the most significant change is the pickup services which will effect your delivery time. DHL does not have any drop boxes, like FedEx and UPS do, anywhere near pheromoneXS. The closest is about 20 miles away which means we will be scheduled for a daily pickup. Until we can be regularly scheduled on this route I can only promise all International shipments will be delayed one business day before shipping. Please understand this potentially means if you order on Friday, it will not ship until Monday. If DHL agrees to pickup at 4:30pm or later there will be no difference. When I obtain a standardized pickup time from our new driver I can better provide additional information.

While shipping with FedEx we had obtained as close to flat rates as possible. For each Envelope we shipped there was about a $3 cushion. This allowed us to upgrade shipping from an envelope to a bubble pak which was just about $3 more without having to charge anything additional.
The DHL rates posted are bottom dollar and some are actually expected to be less expensive than anticipated charges. We can absorb this to a degree, but until shipping becomes stabilized we are not able to offer discounts. Again I apologize to everyone for not having everything firmed up yet.
Now that we have the logistics out of the way, I’m sure many of you are wondering why we did this. As a small company I searched for the best possible rates available we could obtain to stay competitive. I knew there were shipping pools available because Androtics was using one. When I left Androtics everyone I had contacted had a minimum requirement we were nowhere close to achieving yet. For our first year of business I was only shipping USPS. For what it was, the USPS provides a reliable and affordable service, although slow Internationally.
As luck would have it I happened to be selling some junk on Ebay. I used the automated function for shipping charges my customer would have to pay. There was a $30 difference in what the customer was charged and what it was going to cost me to ship it. I searched eBay answers for a solution and I happened across some guy claiming he could save money on shipping. I emailed him and as it turns out it was the same guy Androtics was using, but who only recently began accepting clients that shipped at our levels. It was funny and shocking when he asked me if I was Steve O from Androtics!
Well apparently FedEx shut the whole shipping pool down Friday April 18th and there really wasn’t any notice at all! All I’m going to say about this now is they put a hard working gentleman out of business without even so much as a reason. I’m going to fill everyone in with the details of the entire situation at great lengths, but that’s another post. The situation has been a nightmare, but I’m counting our blessings too.
I pride myself on our customer experience program and shipping is an integral aspect of that, even when we do not have control over other companies such as FedEx. We do however, have control over who we choose to ship with, how the items are packaged, customs declared, and the decisions we make to ensure no hiccups occur with your expectations.
I believe that taking the necessary steps to get your order out the door and in your hands is just not enough. By proactively seeking out those extra-steps, going above and beyond the expected norms, we excel at delivering an experience that is memorable and happy. Since that Friday our Domestic FedEx rates have increased from about $17 to $37 and above. Our International rates have been astronomical beyond anything I could ever imagine. Packages that were costing $27 to Europe skyrocketed to close to $100.
Please understand I am not telling you this for pity, yet rather a reference point so as to understand our seemingly sudden and abrupt changes. Although everyone was telling me I needed to immediately shut the FedEx shipping option off that Friday, I would not. These unexpected changes were not of your doing and to have the impact negatively effect your experience was never an option for me.
As a business, monetarily last week was a complete loss! As a man, emotionally and spiritually with all my heart and passion, last week was more rewarding than anything material could ever provide. Just knowing the trust and commitment you have in the XS brand and experience continues uninterrupted is beyond anything FedEx could do to alter. I hope this brief explanation helps you understand a long and tedious process of change we were forced to undertake.
So while we navigate this uncharted area we find ourselves in, please rest assured we will continue our ongoing commitment to provide the absolute best service possible. We are human and we do make mistakes but it can only make us better. In the meantime all of us are continuing our quest to obtain the best rates available. I’ll keep everyone updated as more information becomes available.

by XSteveOWe are now offering Overnight Saturday on retail orders, which will be available from Thursdays after 2pm through Fridays before 2pm. Unlike our deeply discounted 2nd Day rates, including Saturdays, there is an additional charge for overnight Saturdays ($15.97).
You will find this option under Extra Services tab directly underneath the payment selection section.
Please note: If this service is unavailable in your area from FedEx we will return this fee as a voucher. If...-

by XSteveOFedEx is having issues with its shipping software. We cannot select Saturday deliveries, and Tech Support knows the situation. Depending on how late it goes, I might just ship them 2nd Day Monday delivery.

The USPS has increased its rates which is reflected in our shipping charges and free shipping threshold.
The USPS is still experiencing significant shipping delays across all services.
First Class Mail typically takes 3-5 days but with expected delays, it more realistically can take 2-3 weeks
Priority Mail typically takes 2-3 days but with expected delays, it more realistically can take 1-2 weeks (we've seen some take 2-3 months)

by XSteveOJust an FYI that the USPS is still experiencing massive delays in getting Priority Mail delivered. If you order USPS Priority Mail you can expect delays, by as much as a couple of weeks. XS is not responsible for these delays as they are completely out of our hands. FedEx 2nd Day is a much better option: It's more economically priced and way more reliable. Sometimes FedEx does experience issues, but nothing like the post office. Worst part about it is they actually raised the prices.

I think we finally have this figured out with the shipping changes. We've had to dramatically increase shipping. Its something, I am sure, no company ever wants to do, but the situation required it. We have some situations where charges for the area of the world Idle lives in significantly decreased and then Dignify has unfortunately has had a large increase. We will be continuing to get this under control and normalize this. With our EU center coming online this will all be a distant memory soon enough anyway.
DHL will be picking up orders at around 1 pm weekdays, but it could be as early as noon. If you want your order to ship that day I recommend you get it in as early as possible. With the rate increases and limited packages using this service I didn't have much of a say in what time I needed a pickup.
FedEx is still scheduled for 5 pm Monday through Friday so orders before 4 pm will ship same day and the USPS is about the same.
Please be so informed that ALL ORDERS are subject to a 24 hour processing delay before shipping. The delay has rarely ever occurred, but just be aware that it could.
I want to encourage everyone to use trackable services like FedEx and DHL when shipping. Discounts are now applied only for FedEx and DHL at $5.00 off for every $100 spent. These discounts must be actual money spent on actual products, therefore not considering discounts, reward points, or any other form of non-monetary compensation to lower the cost. Shipping charges are also not calculated as a product cost. I completely understand that for some community members like Dignify, this might no longer be an option. I want to assure everyone I am actively seeking to work out a more favorable solution.
I do know that most other pheromone vendors are not offering any discounted shipping for international community members. I would kindly request that if anyone sees a verifiable better shipping rate please inform me via email. I'll do my best to work with you. Something you should consider though is some people are selling very expensive bottles of perfumers alcohol. I want to be fair, but if its a bogus site selling junk, I won't be able to do anything. So all I ask is to please consider this when asking if we can work out a deal.
