  • Update: NO Changes to shipping charges effective February 4

Some shipping changes you need to be aware of.

There has been some up-charges in shipping from both USPS Priority Mail Domestic and FedEx.

USPS Domestic Priority Mail has increased to $0.60. As of right now I have not been able to determine if USPS International will also have increases. As such I will be increasing USPS Domestic Priority Mail to $6. However if you spend $75 in the store you will still get FREE Domestic USPS Priority Mail for free. Our International friends will still get $5 off if they chose USPS Priority Mail for the first $75 they spend.

There will no longer be additional $5 discounts for each $50 after the initial $75 spent on USPS for International clients. You will still get $5 off for the first $75 spent. An example would be Steve in Sweden spends $125 on products and selects Priority Mail. With the old scheme Steve would therefore get $10 discounted on shipping. Now Steve will only get $5 off on shipping for USPS Priority Mail International.

I’ve also had to change the FedEx system to better reflect the costs of the company. Shipping is increasing every year and we are still offering the best rates available. We will no longer be offering a $5 discount on the first $75 you spend and subsequent $5 deductions for each additional $50 on products spent. If you are in the US and spend over $200 on products you will be receive free FedEx Priority Overnight shipping. Wherever you are Internationally you will also qualify for free shipping if your ordered products (actual money spent on actual products) exceeds your shipping charges

    CURRENT FEDEX RATES

    FedEx Priority Overnight

    USA: $20.00
    FedEx International Priority
    Canada: $22.00
    International:
    Starts at $24.00
The Current International FedEx Rates are:
    USA Next Business Day $20.00
    Canada $22.00
Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Most of Western Europe $25.00
Most of the rest of the world $30.00
    Eastern Europe / Asia $52.00

    NO FedEx shipping charge Increase!

Examples using the above discounted rates:
USA ($22) spend $200 or more Free FedEx Priority Overnight
Canada ($24) spend $220 or more Free FedEx Priority International
Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Most of Western Europe ($27) spend $250 or more Free FedEx Priority International
Most of the rest of the world ($32) spend $300 or more Free FedEx Priority International
Eastern Europe / Asia ($52) spend $500 or more Free FedEx Priority International

I wish there was another way but shipping charges keep going up and I am doing whatever I can to keep the costs down. Its no longer feasible to offer such discounts. These rates and discounts will not go into effect until Sunday January 26th.

As always your feedback and suggestions are welcome. If you have an idea that might help I’d love to read it here.

Nothing can be done about your costs going up. You don't inflate product prices to cover shipping so this is expected. As long as I get the lightning quick aspect I for one can't complain about cost.

Just got off the phone with my shipping guy at FedEx and I have the most wonderful news. I have successfully been able to have all FedEx shipping charge increases suspended until further notice.

What this means for you. Unfortunately they will not be refunding any increased charges we have paid over the last couple weeks. but effective immediately I'll be lowering the rates back down to the original pricing. This means most of you will be saving $2 on your FedEx orders from this point on.

We will be keeping the new shipping scheme though as its the only way we can continue to offer such great rates.

We are now offering Overnight Saturday on retail orders, which will be available from Thursdays after 2pm through Fridays before 2pm. Unlike our deeply discounted 2nd Day rates, including Saturdays, there is an additional charge for overnight Saturdays ($15.97).

You will find this option under Extra Services tab directly underneath the payment selection section.

Please note: If this service is unavailable in your area from FedEx we will return this fee as a voucher. If...

The USPS has increased its rates which is reflected in our shipping charges and free shipping threshold.

The USPS is still experiencing significant shipping delays across all services.

  • USPS Priority Price Increase Delays
    by XSteveO
Just an FYI that the USPS is still experiencing massive delays in getting Priority Mail delivered. If you order USPS Priority Mail you can expect delays, by as much as a couple of weeks. XS is not responsible for these delays as they are completely out of our hands. FedEx 2nd Day is a much better option: It's more economically priced and way more reliable. Sometimes FedEx does experience issues, but nothing like the post office. Worst part about it is they actually raised the prices.
