    Good news and bad news. First the good news: I've been able to negotiate great rates for FedEx again, so much so that I'm passing those rates onto you. All the rates have decreased by about $4 (every dollar helps). Now for the bad news: Unfortunately the USPS rates for Canada have increased by about $4. This forces me to up the free shipping threshold to $75 for Canada.

    With that said we have experienced some unreliable service with the post office lately. When we ship International orders we go through a lot of steps to ensure we meet all the export/import requirements. If you have ever received one of our international orders you've more than likely have noticed all the documentation that is included. We include Destination Control Statements, a copy of the invoice, packing slip, product declarations, Final Use Report, etc. It comprises a small book and its all on security paper that is officially stamped by the Chamber of Commerce as required by tariffs. I've even had stickers made up citing the USPS and border patrol export control acts and they are adhered right to the envelopes. We really take a lot of extra steps to make sure you get your order and most go right through.

    Here's where the issues are arising though. Lately right here in the USA, before the package ever leaves the country, somebody at the post office arbitrarily decides the contents do not meet export requirements and reject the shipment and it then slowly makes it way back to us. We do not get a refund on shipping either. They simply reject it, never even opening it or reading the regulations I have generously added to the envelope. Even my local postmaster agrees that they are being denied because somebody doesn't want to do their job, but in the meantime we have orders not making it to their destination.

    Because of this increasing situation I'm going to have to raise the free shipping threshold to $100. However you'll be able to select FedEx as free shipping instead of the post office.

    The shipping charges now reflect these rates. The free threshold will be implemented soon.

      We are now offering Overnight Saturday on retail orders, which will be available from Thursdays after 2pm through Fridays before 2pm. Unlike our deeply discounted 2nd Day rates, including Saturdays, there is an additional charge for overnight Saturdays ($15.97).

      FedEx is having issues with its shipping software. We cannot select Saturday deliveries, and Tech Support knows the situation. Depending on how late it goes, I might just ship them 2nd Day Monday delivery.

      USPS has drastically increased pricing on everyone. They say it's only because of peak holiday times and will decrease after the holidays but who knows. The service gets slower and the price goes up....LOL

      Free Shipping Threshold is now the following
      USPS FCM Domestic Free at $50 and above
      USPS FCM Canada Free at $75 and above
      USPS FCM International Free at $100 and above...

      Just an FYI that the USPS is still experiencing massive delays in getting Priority Mail delivered. If you order USPS Priority Mail you can expect delays, by as much as a couple of weeks. XS is not responsible for these delays as they are completely out of our hands. FedEx 2nd Day is a much better option: It's more economically priced and way more reliable. Sometimes FedEx does experience issues, but nothing like the post office. Worst part about it is they actually raised the prices.
