As you should be aware I spent a few days in the EU in early December meeting with important government officials working to bring my dream to fruition. I was extremely impressed by all those that I met including shipping representatives from several companies. While I won't ever reveal all the details of our new EU Fulfillment Center the basic premise is to be able to ship "most" EU orders directly from the EU eliminating all VAT, taxes and any customs delays or stoppages. These orders would work exactly as if you were ordering from your neighborhood store right down the block and arrive on your doorstep.

The significance would be in the tremendous savings as there would never be a worry of VAT, taxes or having some customs official opening your private purchase. Currently shipping via FedEx is about $40 average and you still then have to concern yourself with getting taxed. Well the way it should work is that shipping cost would now be about $20 and you'd have that package in a day or two depending on what option you chose. In theory it all works great.

As of Friday I officially have all government documentation in hand and well its actually happening. I'm so very excited by this!

I need to emphasize the most important part of this venture is that unlike most fulfillment centers where the company relinquishes the shipping to another company this will NOT be happening here. You will get the same level of detail, the same handwritten notes, our same commitment to process and ship your order at lightning fast speeds. The only thing that's changing is just where we are shipping from.

Of course in the beginning we will be starting with a handful of carefully selected products and fragrances from our collection for men. This will give us the ability to build the experience like you've come to expect.

While this is a great thing and will change our relationship to a more personal comprehensive one with all our friends in the EU, its taken quite a bit of a toll on my time and focus. I've been working on this for well over a year and to have in hand the actual government and legal paperwork is, well as I mentioned above exciting. While I would rather be on the creative side making blends, where my passion lies, I wanted to let everyone know what's been happening. I have so many blends, new mixes and just all around good stuff that's been put on hold so we could get this done. I can promise you my passion has not withered at all, I am more into bringing you superior blends and mixes especially now.
