New Community Announcements Forum (Including Some Bad News) (2017-09-22 12:33:47)

If you’re reading the newsletter only for coupons and discounts there will not be one today. There is some pretty important news here though, I want to share with our community.
The first, and what I believe to be the most important, is a call to good thoughts and prayers for our Kate and her family as well as Mickaelia from AD. I used to live on the island of Dominica and made many friends. The people there, are some of the finest human beings on this planet. Their hearts are so big.
On Tuesday September 19th their tiny island was hit by the full force category 5 hurricane Maria, and from all reports the island has lost everything. 90% of all structures have been severely damaged. Nothing has been untouched. As of today I have not been able to contact Kate, her family, nor any of my other close friends.
Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. They are going to need a lot of help. As a company we’ve already made donations to the relief efforts in Houston and were preparing for another to Florida. I wish we could help everyone, including now Puerto Rico and we are going to do our best to do so, but my focus is now on Kate and her well being. We can replace her things, but we cannot replace her. While I haven’t seen anything from ad yet, I would imagine they feel the same about Mickaelia.
Right now Bobbi and I are doing our best to answer tickets and handle Kate’s tasks and we will manage. Please be patient with us as we are a bit overwhelmed figuring it all out, while at the same time stressing over this situation of not knowing and feeling helpless. I remember Grenada immediately after Ivan and how desperate things seemed.
This all leads me into the new place for News and Announcements for the community. Kate and I didn’t really like the idea of all that company stuff the first thing you see when you go to the discoverXS community forums. Now the community is all about community. Directly underneath the discoverXS logo, to the immediate right of the forum tab you can see the News and Announcement tab.
Here you will find all the company stuff we post indexed into categories. You should familiarize yourself with the categories which include important topics such as stock availability (when things go out and when they come back {currently only USA HUB}), potential shipping delays, product releases, etc.
We even have a place for community members to post bug reports for any issue you might encounter. Our support system has been getting lots of emails on stock availability so I just want to be upfront, when you ask in a support ticket we are going to refer you to that category and close the ticket
There’s also a place for Suggestions and Questions. If you have a specific products question like mcg per spray, does this contain this… please post it there. We may not provide you with the answer you want, but we will answer. The forum is still the right place for all pheromone usage questions and good stuff like that. Same thing goes for the ticket system with these types of questions.
I’m just doing what I can to streamline some of the bulkier emails we get so we can continue to offer our best to clients who have an actual problem with an order. Its so everyone can get the right help as quickly as possible.
Kate was the inspiration for all these changes, because she cares so much about you guys. My heart is broken right now.
