So what are your thoughts on wigs? Love? Hate? Never gave it much thought?
I'm not as crazed over them as pheromones, lol, but I have a fun rotation.
I have them for fun, and for change of pace.
I first began buying them when I went organic and chopped off all my color damaged hair and wanted something in the in between.
If you don't know, I'm a huge fan of anime, so I like lots of color. I couldn't imagine the boredom of a life relegated to organic and untouched hair. But I wanted to be cleaner and healthier where I could and the chemicals I used on my head was a no brainer place to start.
I knew I would miss the variety of color.
Of course, I could still change style and length but color and texture (Yeah, I wanted to be chemical and damage free, no color, no heat, no curling, no straighteners...) That can be very limiting. Or at least it was so for me.
Enter, wigs.
Long, short, colors (the normals and the nots ) real hair, synthetic hair, lace, monofilament...it's its own world. But what a fun world!
My fun journey into wigs actually became practical when a good friend found out she had cancer. I was able to help her transition through losing her hair due to chemotherapy. I've since learned so many things about different causes for hair loss and how wigs can be a real boost for women who feel like they've lost their femininity when they lost their hair. That side is very rewarding, helping someone feel glamorous and womanly during such a very self conscious transitional period.
It was fun when my current Mr learned about my "play" hair and initially thought it would be a turn off until he saw a few pixie cuts on me and really liked it
So. Anyone out there.
Wigs? Yes? No? Experiences? Products? Favorite purchases?
