What is up with these garbage atomizers?

Why does XS still ship their products in these garbage atomizers? I just had a bottle of Odyssey completely fall apart in my luggage somehow, even though the cap was on and I had the entire bottle taped up very securely. The insides just fell apart, apparently.

At this point, it's more common than not that a 10mL atomizer DOESN'T work as it should than it does. Most of them don't spray straight, get some of the liquid on my fingers, leak inside the cap even when taped up carefully, leak outside of the bottle even when taped up carefully, etc. It's a nightmare for travel and I've almost bought 30mL glass bottles a couple times just for the different atomizer, not because I want three bottles' worth (which wouldn't fit in my organizer, anyway!).

How hard is it to find an atomizer that doesn't consistently shit the bed? At this point I'm considering buying my own and transferring the liquid over. I have had a big perfume hobby for years and have never, ever had a perfume bottle do this to me, and almost all sample bottles don't either. There are SO many decant/travel perfume atomizer bottles out there on Amazon or Alibaba or wherever that I guarantee would be infinitely more reliable than these ones.

I would happily pay $5 more per bottle to not have to deal with this. The product itself is unimpeachable—absolutely incredible—but the packaging is, frankly, crap.

Tariffs? Sorry for your losses. I've only lost one in all my years but wearing a whole bottle of Bliss was a handful till I figured out what happened. You are right, they aren't travel atomizers, I only carry the sample sprayers. Seriously, you may want to pay 5 extra bt maybe some of us don't. Why don't you look up some of your favorite atomizers and let us know what has worked for you. Its been years since I saw a good travel atomizer review. I really don't even trust the good ones for travel. I do have some sample vials that have worked real well but those are for oils.

Come to think of it, I only carry oils with a euro dropper and cap.

Some of the best travel atomizers were the sample perfumes from Sephora. I would ask for a couple before travel and they were awesome. They no longer do any samples anymore however so no more perfect Atomizers either. 😢

I hold on to almost all my XS samples though and usually just refill as I need.

Those sample lids will pop. They don't screw, they pull or if packed, a sideways pressure will pop them. That said I ordered dozens of them a while ago. I was using them for experimenting making my own blends. But I also like the half spray they give. Quite a few of my combos are great with a half spray of this or that but fall on their face with a whole spray. I do carry a small messenger bag with sme pockets that can hold them upright though. But those vals I mentioned no problem for me since I prefer oils too.

I thought I posted about this earlier, but I can’t find my post. I purchased atomizers off of Amazon similar to the ones that Micro perfume uses where they’re small quantity sales of colognes and perfumes. I’ve had excellent luck with these, I have never had one spill or leak. I use them for creating travel size quantities so I don’t risk ruining a batch of any blend. Should I accidentally leave them in the car during the summer heat. I’ve also purchased glass bottles with belt in pipettes similar to what PXS ships with their oils, for the exact same reason.
