Just a few tips I picked up while researching this topic online. This advice is aimed at perfume oil but I presume it will be the same for mones. Includes what not to do when applying oil, which I can attest to is really important so make sure you DO NOT do point number 4 below.
1. Know your pulse points. Follow Coco Chanel’s advice and apply perfume oils wherever you want attention on your body. Your pulse points are best. They’re the places on your body where you can find a heartbeat. The warm spots that deserve a little attention.
On your wrist.
Inside the elbow.
The base of your neck.
Behind the knee.
Behind your ear.
2. Best time to apply. The best time to apply is when you’re fresh out of the shower and your skin is clean and damp. Apply an unscented moisturizer wherever you’re going to use your scent. This will make the oil last longer on your skin. You can also rub vaseline on your pulse points before applying a perfume oil.
3. Best way to apply. Always apply perfume oil before putting on your clothes. You want to keep the oil away from jewelry, clothing and any fabrics when applying. The oil could stain the garment for instance.
4. What not to do with your perfume oils. Never rub the oil into your skin. It won’t make the scent last longer and you’ll crush the structure of the fragrance. The scent will change and smell different. Definitely not something you want to happen.
I rubbed my wrist onto a freshly applied drop of oil on my neck to wipe it in, then rubbed my wrist together and the reactions I've been getting today have been the opposite of yesterday when I just allowed the drop to fall naturally down my neck. Allowing it to dry naturally is best. You can rub in any visible drops using the end of the dropper if you want. Just make sure you allow the oil to dry naturally on the applied area of skin.
Hope this helps!
