Can anyone link research articles on AndrostERONE and it's psychosocial effects on others? I have been trying to find good research on it and keep coming up short. All help appreciated.

Androsterone is a neurosteroid and a major metabolite of testosterone. It has been implicated in various physiological and psychological processes. In animal studies, androsterone has been shown to influence locomotor activity and reward response, suggesting potential implications in drug addictions. For instance, androsterone increased general locomotion and central field activity, indicative of an anxiolytic action. It also had a biphasic effect in the conditioned place preference test, being rewarding at certain doses but aversive at higher doses[1].
Androsterone has also been studied for its effects on seizures. In mice, it was found to enhance the protective action of various antiepileptic drugs against maximal electroshock-induced seizures. A significant increase in the seizure threshold was observed with a single intraperitoneal administration of androsterone[3].
In summary, androsterone has various physiological effects, including potential implications in locomotor activity, reward response, and seizure protection. However, more research is needed to fully understand its role and potential therapeutic applications.

It would be the association of the reward function that would create the status connection. Power supplies resources and opportunities, things associated with reward, People that have the potential to reward us with either opportunity or resources we assign status too. This generic idea echoes through may instinctual levels, survival, sex, security, self preservation etc.Comment
