Are you hiding your masterpiece?

I get lots of emails about this newsletter which is very appreciated. While I can certainly understand some subscribers skipping down to the coupons I do my best to make these insightful and valuable for you. I believe they have the ability to make a positive impact on your life in a very powerful way.
Who cares, some might say, I just want the discount!
Did you know that many of the greatest artists painted their masterpieces right over top another “lost” masterpiece?
Art historians have found incredible, often inspiring works, painted over other masterpieces forever hidden from the world.
Its an idea, that while strange, is exactly how many of us go about living our lives.
We hide our true selves, our masterpiece, behind the shell of a cold stare, shyness, a facade we use as a security blanket to shield us from the harsh “reality” of the world.
What if the “reality” was really just a frightened voice from the recesses of our own minds?
We allow the experiences we live to shape our lives, rather than our lives to shape our experiences. It doesn’t matter about your looks, family history, what side of the tracks you were born on, where you are in life, or what you have accomplished. What matters is the passion you have to bring out your true masterpiece!
I remember as a kid reading a sign that most of you have also read. “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” I didn’t pay much mind to those words when younger, but as I mature they take on a more profound meaning. Not so much that today is the beginning, but more so the opportunity to reveal the already there masterpiece of the life I hide within.
Its the choices we make.
To live life to the fullest potential.
To push further.
To pick yourself up from the ground when you've stumbled.
To give permission to love yourself.
