Its that time of year again and while the newsletters are not as often as they used to be, I’m hoping this month makes up for their infrequencies. Everyone here at XS wants me to extend our sincerest wishes for the happiest of Thanksgivings. While this might be a US holiday, I’m sure we all have lots to be thankful for.
Wouldn’t it be beautiful if we all took a moment to give thanks for all the incredible things we do have in our lives? Sometimes we forget the simplest, and seemingly easily forgotten, offerings life presents us with. Laces to tie or shoes, a toothbrush, food to eat, opposable thumbs, clean water to drink. Certainly benign but glorious when we are reminded by the lack of therewith.
There’s a lot of diversity in our world and rather than fear it we should embrace our differences. As one community we could solve the worlds problems lickity-split. Imagine a world where instead of war, we have fresh water for all. Hunger and poverty a thing of the past. Racism and fanaticism long-forgotten history. Where the only terror is still found in the shower when you notice a spider.
Over the past few months a lot has changed at XS. We’ve had some personnel changes, but for good reasons. Discovering a persons strengths thus finding the position that best suits them adds value to XS. Everyone starts in shipping to get an idea of what it is we do. Shipping might seem very “basic” but as so it is also our core foundation. We take a lot of pride in what we do here at XS and it all starts at the most basic level.
Personally I am thankful everyday for the amazing clients that gravitate towards XS. The DiscoverXS community, the feedback we get daily, my family, friends, the support of the girl I call my girl, especially whenever I’m at my darkest hour and she always somehow gets me to see the light. I’m thankful for everyone who is a part of the XS family. Mostly I’m just thankful that everyday is a new day with new possibilities.
So there are a couple things I wanted to get across in this newsletter: The first of which is we are no longer doing a monthly sale or newsletter. I didn’t want to cheapen the XS brand as there’s a lot of effort and thus value put into it. We don’t make weak, or cheap blends, and so a sale should have special significance and thus embrace the value.
This brings me to my next point: Discounts for life. The DiscoverXS community discounts have been a huge success and we have been receiving great feedback. You get your first 3% discount when you’ve made a mere 25 posts on the forum. Keep posting - keep getting better discounts. Best of all you keep the discount level until you’re ready to increase it, whether it takes a month or a couple years. It really is yours for life!
Personally I’m not much about rules, but we got some great mods, and Idle, who’ve been keeping an eye on everything. I know I wrote that the discounts wouldn’t compound with other discounts but I’ve been letting them and I have no inclination to stop. We do have some bugs to work out as for the colors, but the calendar is operational. Hover over any date with your mouse and plan your order accordingly.
