We've been adding a lot of security features to the cart so there's that. I used to use the same password for a broad range of websites, mostly trivial stuff, until one day a website got hacked and they emailed everyone about changing pw. Made me realize how many sites had the same password. Now I use total random passwords with about 18 or more characters including special ones. Like you said its a pain to have to log in to every website but browsers do a pretty good job of storing them. The only complaint is when Chrome won't save passwords for sites like banking or the server. That's a pain, but better than the pain of getting hackedLeave a comment:

And then it is an even bigger PITA when you have to reset thirty because you only used one email accountLeave a comment:

I use random passwords for everything. It's a huge PITA until you get hacked somewhere.Leave a comment:

I did a password check on chrome. 26 passwords compromised with another email address. Had nothing to do with here. I noticed an app got installed without my knowledge into gmail. I notified google, they got back with the hack list. Yeah hacking is going through the roof.

Well according to the DevOps the databases were not compromised. There was an article in (tech crunch I think) the other day that says SPAM has gone up by thousands of percent since the pandemic. More and more people are noticing it too. I'm now getting spam myself that commends me for my contributions to the "fashion industry" and promises me accolades and an award for such. I am fashion disabled! Wrinkled T-shirts and shorts with slides are my go-to.
bring me some sleeze please lol!

Probably a coincidence.
No one knows how many databases have been hacked until now. I have a pretty good spam filter and since I feed it with all necessary information I'm fine with it.Leave a comment:

Oh and I'm not discounting anyone here nor their experience with SPAM bombs! I'm just relaying what DevOps is saying and they are a third party with no real interest other than getting paid. To do a thorough forensics check would be cost-prohibitive and timely. It sucks that it happened but it did.Leave a comment:
